“Direct is brash and rude,” some softly say,
“Hitting below the belt,” in disarray.
But sugarcoat something, a gilded lie,
“Then you are celebrated,” as truths go by,
Because truth’s bright glare can cause a sudden sting.
Do you have the power now? To face your truth untold?
Ask the mirror deep, let honesty unfold.
Swallow the bitter pill, let candor start,
Don’t be shocked to see the sudden light impart.
Not every soul embraces a dark display;
Let the direct word its true purpose find,
And build a confident and genuine mind.
