About Reminiscence
Published by Blue Rose Publishers, Reminiscence is a collection of poems reflecting the poet’s learning from her experiences. The poems are an assortment of style and genre without restricting to a specific tone and style. The poet has exercised freedom in depicting various aspects of our life along with the importance of nature and other living beings. The poems have a sweet blend of rhythm and blank verse to avoid monotony.
About the Author
An eloquent writer whose words pour out naturally. That’s Devika Das. Her first encounter with writing happened at the age of 13 when she explored various paths of poetry. Later, she started blogging in 2008 and stepped into novel writing in 2016.
The poem that has received great acclaim is “For Those At Kargil”, a tribute to all those martyrs who have laid down their lives while serving the nation. Creative writing liberates her and is a medium to express her real Self. It’s often noted that a person is not expressing himself/herself clearly when he/she talks to someone; however, writing is a medium that gives a person the liberty since there is less fear of being judged by people.
Her recent publication, an anthology contribution, talks about breaking stereotypes. Her hobbies include reading, listening to music, and theatre. Writing is a passion and a profession for her as she is currently working in Hyderabad as a Content Strategist.
